Family Support Services
Family Support Services is a funding source that helps families care for their loved one with a developmental disability at home. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities provides this funding to the Belmont County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The support is intended to enhance the quality of life for the entire family and includes:
Home modifications to accommodate the family member with a disability
Other services/items needed to meet the family's needs
To receive Family Support Services, the family must be caring for the person with a developmental disability at home and the person must be eligible for services through the County Board (even if he or she is not receiving services at the time of request).
