Transition Navigation

Transition Navigation helps students with developmental disabilities  and their families plan for life after school. Navigators provide guidance on planning for the future, understanding legal options, learning about benefits, and making informed choices. This service typically serves youth ages 14 to 22.

We partner with local school districts and the career center to help students explore further education, employment, and the supports they may need to build a self-determined adult life.

Employment is an important part of adult life because it offers opportunities to earn income, build confidence, increase independence, and contribute to the community. Through Transition Navigation, students can begin discovering their strengths, interests, and career possibilities as they prepare for life beyond the classroom.
